Cauliflower Hash Browns

About the Recipe

Ingredients

  • ½ large cauliflower head- processed

  • 3 eggs

  • ½ large or 1 small brown onion

  • 1 tsp salt

  • Pinch of pepper

  • Oil spray for frying

  • 1 cup grated cheese

  • 1 heaped tsp crushed garlic

Preparation

Step 1


Grate or whiz the cauliflower together with the onion.


Step 2


Add cauliflower to a large bowl with the eggs, salt, and pepper and stir to combine.


Step 3


Place scoops of the mixture into a medium temperature pan, ~2cm thick and leave to cook.


Step 4


Cook 4-5 minutes on each side. Be mindful that if you flip too early then the hash brown will fall apart!


Step 5


Using remaining mixture- add the 1 tsp of garlic and stir - then repeat step 3.


Step 6


Add cheese- combine- then repeat step 3 again.
